Getting started
How do I create my first shop?
From the home page, « New shop »: a name, a currency, a duration. Then add your products (a name, a price, a photo), say where and when customers collect, and copy your link. About ten minutes. Everything can be changed later, except the currency.
What happens when my shop expires?
It stops taking new orders, but nothing is lost: your orders, customers and products stay available. Extending it is reserved for the PRO plan; without it, you can create a new shop within your plan's limits.
Can I sell services rather than products?
Yes. When creating the shop, pick a services or booking shop: customers book a slot instead of filling a cart. Lessons, nail care, consultations, anything taken by appointment works the same way.
Orders and money
How do I get paid?
Directly by your customers, just like today: Bit, PayBox, cash, transfer, whatever you already accept. The money never passes through Bashouk. You mark an order as paid yourself once you have received it.
Does Bashouk take a commission on my sales?
Never, on any plan. Your customers pay you directly, and we have no way of taking anything.
Can a customer cancel an order?
No, cancelling goes through you: the customer contacts you (on WhatsApp, for example) and you cancel the order from its sheet, as long as it is not ready. Once marked ready, it can no longer be cancelled: you are the one who knows whether the work is done.
Can my customers see my purchase price?
Never, nowhere. The purchase price only feeds your margin in your own statistics. It appears on no page a customer sees, and in no email.
How do I follow up with a customer who hasn't paid yet?
From your Customers page, a button opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message (amount owed included, in the customer's language), or sends a reminder email. Unpaid customers show up first in the list.
How does a customer declare they've paid?
After paying (Bit, bank transfer, cash...), the customer clicks "I've paid" on their order page: amount and method are pre-filled, so you can spot it easily in your payment app. You then confirm it in one click, which marks the order paid.
What do an order's statuses mean?
Pending: it has just arrived. Confirmed: you have accepted it. Ready: it is waiting for your customer. Delivered or picked up: it has been handed over. An order can only be cancelled before "Ready". Payment is tracked separately: an order can be ready without being paid.
Features
How do slot bookings work?
In services mode, your customers pick an open slot from your availability grid and book it directly, with no back and forth. You set the duration of each slot and can add a buffer between two appointments; every booking then shows up in your calendar.
Can I export my orders for my accounting?
Yes, your orders and accounts export as a CSV file, ready to open in a spreadsheet or hand off to your accountant.
Does my shop have a QR code?
Yes, every shop automatically generates its own QR code from its link. Print it on a poster or flyer, or display it on site, for customers who don't come through WhatsApp.
What is the waitlist for?
It keeps track of customers interested in a product or a slot, so you can reach out to them first if a spot opens up.
Can I duplicate a shop for a new edition?
Yes, from an existing shop, create a new edition with the same catalog, and the same customers if you wish: handy for relaunching a recurring market or the next edition of the same event. This feature is reserved for the PRO plan.
Can a customer cancel a booking?
No, cancelling goes through you: the customer contacts you and you cancel the booking from your calendar, whether it is confirmed or not.
How do I add a break to my appointment hours?
Add two ranges on the same day, for example 9 am to 1 pm then 2 pm to 6 pm: no slot is offered in between. A day with no range is closed. Your hours apply to the whole shop, and a service is only offered where its full length fits.
Running your shop
How do I track my product stock?
Turn on tracking for a product and enter its quantity: it goes down with each order, comes back if an order is cancelled, and stock stops an order once there isn't enough left. Customers see "Only N left!" under 5 units and "Out of stock" at 0. An untracked product stays unlimited, as it does today.
Can I sell from several places or pickup points?
Yes, add as many places as you need to your shop, each with its own address and hours. Your customers pick where to collect their order when they check out.
Can I send an announcement to all my customers?
Yes, an active announcement shows on your shop and goes out by email to every customer already linked to the shop. A button also copies a message ready for WhatsApp.
Can I change my shop's currency after creating it?
No, the currency is set at creation and never changes afterward: every order on a given shop stays in one currency. Start a new edition if you need to switch.
Can I add photos to my products?
Yes, several photos per product, automatically cropped and optimized. The maximum number depends on your plan. You can add, remove or change the cover photo anytime from the product's card.
Does my shop have a page to track my margin?
Yes, the Accounting page breaks down your revenue and expenses by item, and works out your margin product by product from the purchase price you entered.
My account
What does the Starter plan give me?
More shops at once, more products and a longer duration than the free plan. Reopening a shop stays with PRO. The up-to-date detail is on the plans page.
How do I delete my account?
Tell us from the idea box. We delete the account and everything attached to it, and your customers no longer see your shops.
